3682428 - 2H 2025 - HTML formatting issue in emails when Sanitize All Rich Text Inputs is enabled - Recruiting Management

This article describes a known issue in 2H 2025 wherein the HTML formatting in emails sent from the new Candidate Workbench is not working and/or html tags are removed. Emails display all content in a single line without respecting line breaks or paragraph formatting.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Open any Application.
2. Choose “Send Email.”
3. Use a standard email template (HTML formatted).
4. Check the preview and the sent email, formatting is lost, everything appears in one line, or the html tags are removed.

The issue occurs because the Application Security Feature Settings > Sanitize All Rich Text Inputs is enabled.

Workaround:

1. Navigate to the Admin Center.
2. Access "Company System and Logo Settings".
3. Locate the checkbox labeled "Sanitize All Rich Text Inputs".
4. Disable the "Sanitize All Rich Text Inputs" setting.
5. Test the email formatting functionality to confirm the issue is resolved.
6. Note: Disabling this setting may have security implications.
