3682502 - Correcting time events does not import the new entries after deletion and creation

Symptom

You delete an incorrect time event and create a new corrected one but the new entry is not generated

Environment

  • Time tracking
  • Employee Central time sheet

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Within the time sheet UI delete a time event which is incorrect
  2. Create a new time event with the correct times
  3. After refreshing the browser, the new entry is not generated and the external time data record is in 'Error' status

Cause

When deleting and creating time events very close to each other for a single pair, it is possible that the logic
conflicts and creating an overlapping error. This is a known limitation and we are working on enhancing this in a future release.

Resolution

  1. Delete time event that was created, unpairing the record
  2. Refresh the browser to ensure time sheet entry is correctly removed from the interface
  3. Create new time event
  4. Refresh browser to verify correct entry is now present
