Symptom
After performing an Instance Refresh, the Customer Data Cloud (CDC) related configurations are overwritten by the configurations from the source SF instance.
If CDC enablement had been completed in the target instance before the Instance Refresh:
- The target SF instance becomes linked to the CDC Partner ID associated with the source SF instance. However, new candidates cannot be created, and existing candidates cannot sign in to the career site.
- When trying to create a new candidate profile, an error occurs: "The requested candidate could not be found or created. Please contact your administrator."
If CDC enablement had not been completed in the target instance:
- In Manage Recruiting Settings > Career Site with SAP Customer Data Cloud for External Candidates, the 'Initiate' button is greyed out and the 'SAP Customer Data Cloud based Authentication' is enabled automatically, preventing the enablement.
