3682553 - Mismatch in Section and Item Order Between UI and Backend Results in Solution Design

Symptom

Section names in the Solution Design is not rearranged based on the product categories, and items within each section is not sorted by part number, or ascending or descending order.

Environment

SAP CPQ 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Quotes.
  2. Open Quote.
  3. Populate Solution Design.
  4. Refresh.
  5. Add Sections.
  6. Mismatch in Sections and Item Order Between UI and Backend.
     
     
     

Cause

Known Behavior 

Resolution

Order of items within the UI sections, the sequence in which products are added does not determine their arrangement. Instead, the items are sorted based on their item numbers, which is the expected functionality of the system.
