3682564 - Strange HTML box displayed in the Manage Templates - SuccessFactors Performance & Goals

• A strange HTML box is intermittently displayed in the Manage Templates.
• The issue occurs across multiple browsers, including Chrome and Edge.
• The issue is intermittent and not consistently reproducible.

• SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management

1. Log in to the system and navigate to Manage Templates > Performance.
2. Select the template.
3. Edit a section.
4. Click 'Add more' below the Description field.
5. Add multiple language boxes (3-4 boxes) rapidly.
6. Scroll down to edit the text in the newly added boxes.
7. Observe the appearance of a strange HTML box.

This is a Known UI issue that occurs under specific conditions, and it is related to browser rendering performance. However, this issue does not affect the editing operations of form templates.

1. Why does the page flicker when clicking Add Language?
When you add a new language, the dialog clears all items and rebuilds them with the new rich text editor. The editor starts with a default width and then adjusts to the window size, so the quick resize creates the flicker you see.
We’ll refine the render flow and add a loading state to smooth this out.

2. Why does the rich text editor break if Add Language is clicked 2 times quickly?
This is related to the same render issue. Rapid clicks trigger multiple rebuilds at the same time, which causes the editor instances to collide and fail to initialize.

Workaround

The current workaround is to avoid repeated clicks. Click Add Language only once and wait for the dialog to finish rendering before clicking again.
