Symptom
Users encounter a short dump error when converting a planned order to a production order in the "Manage Planned Orders" app.
The error details include:
- Category: ABAP programming error
- Runtime Errors: DBSQL_SQL_ERROR
- Exception: CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
- ABAP Program: CL_FCO_EB_POSTG_RULE_VALD
- Application Component: CO-PC-OBJ-ORD
This behavior can be verified via the "Display Runtime Errors" app.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Cause
The issue is caused by a bug associated with release 2508.03, which was deployed in weekend of Nov. 16th. This bug corrupts data and leads to the short dump during the conversion process.
Resolution
SAP has identified the issue and a fix will be delivered in release 2508.04, which is scheduled to be deployed on the weekend of December 14.
In the meantime, if customers encounter this error, they should report a case under component CO-PC-OBJ-2CL through SAP Support. SAP Support will execute a backend report to delete the corrupt data causing this issue.
