3682896 - 2H2025 - IRT Validation Failed with error "Unable to process the refresh request due to a planned system upgrade."

Symptom

Post-2H 2025 Production release, requests for instance refreshes from Preview (source) to Production (target) are getting the status "Validation Failed" with the below errors:

  • Unable to process the refresh request due to a planned system upgrade. Please contact Technical Support to manually refresh your target instance
  • TENANTREFRESH_REQUEST_CONTAINS_INVALID_DATA
  • TENANTREFRESH_SRC_TGT_DB_VERSION_MISMATCH
  • TENANTREFRESH_REQUEST_CONTAINS_INVALID_DATA
  • TENANTREFRESH_SRC_TGT_DB_VERSION_MISMATCH
