3683156 - Double bytes story name appears garbled in data export Activity logs in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

  • When opening a story with a Japanese name and exporting a table to CSV, the story name appears garbled in the "File Name" column under the Security menu -> Activities page.
  • The exported CSV file also displays the Japanese story name as garbled text.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.21

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to the SAP Analytics Cloud tenant.
  2. Open a story with a Japanese double-byte character name.
  3. Select one table and export it to CSV.
  4. Navigate to the Security menu -> Activities.
  5. Filter for "Data Export" type activity and check the "File Name" column. Observe that the Japanese story name appears garbled.
  6. Export the result to a file from this page and observe that the Japanese story name in the exported CSV file is also garbled.

Cause

This is a product defect.

Resolution

The issue is planned to be fixed in 2026.02 version.
