Symptom

Error encountered "SD_SLS_CMR_RELEASE_EMAIL_TMPL: ID is too long".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Maintain Email Templates application.
  2. Locate the template "SD_SLS_CMR_RELEASE_EMAIL_TMPL".
  3. Select the template and click "Copy".
  4. Input "02000029_COMPLETE_POSITIVE" in the new template ID popup box.
  5. Observe the error message: "SD_SLS_CMR_RELEASE_EMAIL_TMPL: ID is too long".

Cause

Resolution

Use the deprecated "Maintain Email Templates" (App ID: F1306) as a workaround until the issue is resolved.
