3683439 - Payroll sequence GAP after Payroll archiving (PA_CALC)

Symptom

There is a gap between sequence numbers after payroll archiving.
This is a sample to explain the symptom.

  1. You define to archive up to 09/30/2019 for archiving group 100000.
  2. For the sample employee which belongs to payroll area B3, and for the period 20.2019, the payment date is 10/04/2019.
  3. This period should not be archived as it has a payment date higher than the archive date 09/30/2019.
  4. You archive up to period 19.2019 as the picture below.

  5. In step 4, sequence number 01718 has been archived. For any future period that run retro to a period that is before 19.2019, these periods must be archived. The period 23.2019 have a retro to period 02.2019. So, the sequence 01722 to sequence 01739 are also archived.
  6. This leaves a gap of the periods:
    20.2019 IN 20.2019 Sequence 01719
    21.2019 IN 21.2019 Sequence 01720
    22.2019 IN 22.2019 Sequence 01721.
