Symptom
- "Form 26Q" report is generated without any data in the "Run Statutory Reports" application.
- Certain TDS relevant documents are not populated into the "Form 26Q" report in "Run Statutory Reports" application.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Access APP "Run Statutory Reports".
- Select a "Form 26Q" reporting task.
- Select the report generation activity.
- Perform the "New Run".
Cause
Remittance Challan and Bank Challan has not been completed for the documents.
Resolution
The documents for which the challan is not processed will not populate into the "Form 26Q" report. Ensure that the Internal Challan (Remittance Challan) and External Challan (Bank Challan) process is completed for the documents that are expected to reflect in the "Form 26Q" report.
Note:
- For country India withholding taxes section code is mandatory for reporting purpose. If section code is not maintained at the document level then Remittance challan and Bank Challan processes will not pick this document, and eventually it will not be populated into "Form 26Q" report.
- "India Withholding Tax TDS/TCS status report" application can be used to identify faulty records with missing section code and missing challan details.
