• Depreciation starts at the beginning of the year with depreciation key LINS and it was expected to start in the current month pro rata or next month.

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Depreciation key LINS is used in standard delivered content and is not defined as expected.  In Fiori app “Depreciation Key: Display Details” for chart of depreciation 1410 and depreciation key LINS, it is possible to see that period control parameter is 003 (06/06/02/02).This means that for acquisition, depreciation will start at the beginning of the year. 

• Use another existing depreciation key or ask for a new depreciation key (starting with 9*) with period control parameter 001 (01/01/02/02). Please note that only existing parameters can be requested. Check:

• If the project is already live with depreciation key LINS it is still possible to change it and recalculate depreciation. Check:
