3684269 - Paid Time Based on Leave Types in Absence Leave Case Management

Symptom

The Absence Leave Case Management functionality does not interface with pay directly. This system is used as a standalone in some systems, and for many others it is just used for tracking usage of protected but non-paid leave types. So often, pay is not a concern here.

However, there are times where paid time is desired for a specific leave type, generally when Absence and Time are used together.

Note that this is separate from the Paid Time functionality which allows for other banks of time like Sick or Vacation to be used in parallel with a leave type. This is detailed more in Use Paid Time - Absence Leave Case Management.

To set up a leave type to be paid, the simplest approach is to associate a pay code with that leave type. This is discussed in How Does Absence Leave Case Management communicate back to Time?, and we are taking advantage of the functionality to get a pay code back to the T&A side for payment rules.
