3684406 - User custom fields no longer display the dropdown with selection options under the Merge Users page

Post the 2H2025 release, user custom fields no longer display the dropdown with selection options (ex.: Exact, Starts with, Contains, etc.) under the Merge Users page.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Learning Administration > People > Users >
2. Add a user custom field to the search criteria by selecting 'Add/Remove Criteria' >
3. Check the user custom field checkbox >
4. Click 'Select' >
5. Notice that the operator dropdown appears next to the custom field >
6. Go to Learning Administration > People > Merge Users >
7. Click 'Add/Remove Criteria' >
8. Select the same custom field >
9. Notice that the operator dropdown is missing next to the custom field.

The scenario is caused due to a configuration gap in the User Merge Search Selector.

Our Learning Engineering team has finalized their work on the situation, and the fix is currently scheduled to be delivered with the 2605 Learning system version. Additional details are available in the following link: Product Release & Road Map Information. 

Workaround until the fix delivery:

1. Adjust the User Merge Search Selector configuration >
2. Refer to the "StudentMerge.properties" file on the "Attachments" area of the KBA >
3. The content of the file should be added in the following place: System Administration > Configuration > Search Selectors > User Merge > Click "Apply Changes" after adding the new configuration.
