3684424 - Email Template Extensibility for Preliminary Billing Document - S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

A new custom email template, was created by copying SD_PBD_DEFAULT_EMAIL_TEMPLATE and assigned to the BILLING_DOCUMENT. However, the new email template cannot be extended to include existing custom fields as it is not available for selection in the Custom Fields app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to the Custom Fields app.
2. Select the custom field previously created
3. Attempt to locate the custom email template for extension.
4. Observe that the template is not available for selection.

The issue arises because the email template for Preliminary Billing Document (PBD) is based on the CDS view I_PRELIMBILLINGDOCUMENT, which is not extensible.

Currently, there is no option to extend the Preliminary Billing Document email template.

If needed, consider submitting a feature request through the SAP Customer Influence Portal. This platform allows customers to propose improvements, which are reviewed by product owners and developers for possible inclusion in future releases.
