Symptom
- A field with data type Auto Number displays numbers with thousand separators (e.g., 1,000, 2,000, etc.) in the "View All" screen for custom MDF object in the Employee Profile.
- This behavior is inconsistent with the display in the "History" screen, where the thousand separators are not present.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to Employee Profile.
- Click "View All" in a portlet that contains an auto number field
- Observe that the number contains thousand separators
- Click on view history
- Notice that the number doesn't contain thousand separators
Cause
The inconsistency in the display of the Auto Number field is due to the difference in UX design between the "View All" screen and the "History" screen. The "View All" screen reflects the latest People Profile design, which includes thousand separators for number fields, while the "History" screen has not yet been updated to match the new UX design.
Resolution
In future releases, the "History" screen will be updated to align with the new UX design, ensuring consistent display of number fields across all screens.
