How to change the User attribute for SAML SSO configuration in Datasphere?
Environment
SAP Datasphere
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to Datasphere tenant using system owner account.
- Go to System>Administration> security
- Try to change the user attribute for example from email to User ID.
- Click on "Save".
--> After saving, the mapping always reverted back from User ID to email.
Resolution
To change the user attribute for SAML SSO configuration in Datasphere:
- Switch back to the default IDP as per the following help guide: Revert to Default Authentication (Legacy Custom IdP) | SAP Help Portal
- Set up SSO SAML from scratch as per the following help guide: Enabling a Custom SAML Identity Provider (Legacy Custom IdP) | SAP Help Portal
