Symptom
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) stories, using Direct/CORS live data connection to SAP BW or SAP S/4HANA on-premise, that are consumed through an iframe element are failing with the error:
"We couldn't connect to your *** system. Please ask your system administrator to investigate..."
When the same story opened via SAC only, a pop-up appears:
"*sapanalytics.cloud wants to: Look for and connect to any device on your local network"
When the user clicks on "Allow" the story can be opened with no errors.
Only if the story is consumed via an iframe that the issue remains.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
