• When requesting a full day absence, an error message is raised: "The total absence duration is more than the planned duration of X hours. Please adjust the start and end time accordingly"
• However, recording a half-day absence or an absence over multiple days functions correctly.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. Ensure the Work Schedule has Scheduled Working Time in certain fractions and Flexible Bandwidth is configured.
2. Verify that the Time Type has "Allow Absence Requesting Within Flextime Bandwidth" set to 'Yes'.
3. Navigate to the WorkBench UI of the employee.
4. Create an absence and select the Time Type.
5. Attempt to enter a full day absence.
6. Observe the error message: "The total absence duration is more than the planned duration of X.XXX hours. Please adjust the start and end time accordingly.".

The issue will be fixed via patch PTCH-48708 (2H2025 P8) which is scheduled for 9th Dec 2025 in Preview and 11th Dec 2025 in Production environments.
