3685659 - Cannot login to CMC after DS2025 and IPS 2025 upgrade

Symptom

  • Cannot login to CMC after DS2025 / IPS2025 patch upgrade
  • After executing IPS 2025 patch0 upgrade CMC cannot be logged into using Administrator user.
  • Even Administrator user gets the error "You do not have access rights to log on to the application." 
  • We collected the CMS traces and found the following error:
    2025 11 06 12:04:56:962|(simplebuffer.cpp:503) SSimpleBuffer::loadFromFileEx: could not read from file /usr/sap/ips42/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/dfo/dfo_FjYQAwB9zQIA1WkAAMCn1f0BCr5pCdSU/BusinessObjects_CMC_dfo.xml. Reason: Failed to open the file /usr/sap/ips42/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/dfo/dfo_FjYQAwB9zQIA1WkAAMCn1f0BCr5pCdSU/BusinessObjects_CMC_dfo.xml. Reason: No such file or directory

    2025 11 06 12:04:57:335|assert failure: (deploy.cpp:3559). (false : DeploymentSubsystem: Problem found with specified type in DFO with name: CMC and CUID: AWNa_Y2M2V5Kkbb_0WHpGok). ??
  • Based on the error, the CMC DFO file appeared to be corrupted.
