3686302 - Links on Approval E-mail do NOT Navigate to Correct Page

When you click the links on the Sales Quote Approval e-mail notification, it does not navigate to the correct page.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Sales work center
2. Go to the Sales Quote work center view
3. Click Submit
4. Approval notification e-mail sent to the approver
5. Approver clicks the links on the e-mail

Result: The link navigates to the Home page

Expected Result: The link navigates to the Notifications page.

E-mail security gateway is rewriting the URL for protection.

To check this,

1. Open the e-mail
2. Hover over the link
3. You see the link is something like this: https://urldefense.com... (The link should be something like this: https://myXXXXXX.crm.ondemand.com/)

*Sales Quote is used as an example on this KBA, however this applies to other Business Object such as Opportunities, Campaigns, Leads and Sales Order.

The e-mail security is done by the customer.

Consult this with your IT team for;

1. Whitelist the domain:

• *.crm.ondemand.com. This prevents rewriting or URL wrapping.

     2. Disable URL Defense for C4C-related links used in approval workflows.

     3. Review the email protection tool (e.g., Proofpoint) to allow safe links.
