3686385 - Deprecation Timeline for Classic Foreign Currency Valuation functionality in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Inquiry regarding the specific deprecation timeline for the Classic Foreign Currency Valuation functionality.
• Request for confirmation if classic foreign currency valuation functionality will still be available at the end of 2026 to plan migration to Advanced Valuation.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The dedicated release date of the Classic Foreign Currency Valuation App has not yet been determined. More background:  For context, once feature parity is achieved which means the Advanced Valuation runs have no gaps compared to Classic Valuations, the Classic Valuations can be deprecated. This transition is expected to take some time, and clear communication will be maintained throughout the process. 

Upon announcement of the deprecation, Classic Valuations will remain available for one to two releases (minimum one, maximum two) to allow adequate preparation for migration.

SAP recommends to start with the Advanced Valuations with the beginning of a new fiscal year. The recommendation is because from our point and due to auditing reasons and purposes we would not mix up two different valuation processes in one fiscal year. If customers would like to change in the middle of the year, there is no technical restriction to do so. For such scenarios, SAP recommends to align with the auditors first.

The Classic Valuations will remain available until the end of December 2026, allowing sufficient time to plan migration to the Advanced Valuation in December 2026.
