3686559 - Account field not editable in task detail view

Symptom

You are unable to change the Account for an existing task or for a Task where no Account exists

Environment

SAP Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Version 2

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Navigation Menu.
  2. Go to Activity Manager.
  3. Go to Task.
  4. Create a task without an account.
  5. Open the created task.
  6. Attempt to edit the Account field.
  7. Observe that the Account field is not editable.

Resolution

Utilize the account(key) field (label - Account), which might be hidden in adaptation. Ensure the account key field is added in adaptation settings to enable editing.

  1. Open a task.
  2. Go to User Menu.
  3. Select Start Adaptation.
  4. Go to General Section in Task and click on the pencil icon.
  5. Select the Show Hidden Items checkbox.
  6. Add the Account(key) field.
