3686656 - Error FIN_CORR/342 – Output item could not be determined in "Create Correspondence" App

When attempting to preview SAP21(FI Customer Invoice) correspondence using the "Create Correspondence" app, the system throws the an error.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access the app "Create Correspondence".
2. Choose Correspondence Type SAP21(FI Customer Invoice).
3. Click Preview.
4. System returns error: "FIN_CORR/342 – Output item could not be determined".

The issue is caused by filter settings maintained in the "Output Parameter Determination" app under
Application Area → Accounting Document
Determination Step → Form Template

1. Access the "Output Parameter Determination" app.
2. Navigate to Accounting Document → Form Template.
3. Identify entries where filters are set to:
   Role = ""
   Recipient Language = ""
4. Remove these filters and maintain a configuration without empty or conflicting conditions.
5. Save the settings.
6. Return to Create Correspondence and retry the Preview action.

After removing the filters, the system correctly determines the form template, output channel, and output item, allowing Customer Invoice correspondence to be generated without errors.
