Symptom

  • You're facing a Platform Search problem that requires an Index Rebuild
  • The following Rebuilds were performed, but none resolved the issue:

    • 2755192 - How to manually clean up and rebuild the Platform Search index - SAP for Me
    • 2602982 - How to Forcefully Rebuild the Platform Search Application, Indexing and Extraction Queues and Index - SAP for Me 
  • The following traces are found in APS logs:
    • Caught exception in platformsearchengine::createFileLock: /usr/sap/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/data/PlatformSearchData/FileLocks/searchApp.lock (error 2 - No such file or directory)
    • Caught exception in getIndexEngineChannel: /usr/sap/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/data/PlatformSearchData/FileLocks/LuceneIndexEngine.lock (error 2 - No such file or directory)
    • Caught exception in createFileLocks: /usr/sap/sap_bobj/enterprise_xi40/data/PlatformSearchData/FileLocks/tobeIndexed.lock (error 2 - No such file or directory)
