3686848 - Error when synchronising process models to SAP Solution Manager : Sync errored for ObjectType: PROCSTEP ... Inconsistencies detected and saved in SLG1

When synchronising process models from SAP Signavio Process Manager to SAP Solution Manager, errors are received when trying to post the modelling objects to SAP Solution Manager.  Typical error message would be as similar to the text below:-

Sync errored for ObjectType: PROCSTEP with error: sendData() failed during project ID: <project ID> and direction: SPM2SOLMAN with:
Inconsistencies detected and saved in SLG1 with Object = SMUD, Subobject = BPD and External ID = <timestamp> <SM Sync User ID> PM-API: LOG.

When analysing the logs in SAP Solution Manager transaction SLG1 using the as directed by the error message, you would see a specific error similar to the following text:-

The attribute DESCRIPTION is mandatory for element <OCC ID> <object type> 1 element(s) are not compliant with the model and not imported.
