Symptom
For a production order which has been final confirmed (with status CNF), sometimes it is need to revert the status back to PCNF.
This article will show you how to achieve this.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Resolution
Finally confirmed (CNF) means, all operations requiring confirmation have been finally confirmed and no confirmable operations have partial confirmations.
Partially confirmed (PCNF) means, at least one but not all operations requiring confirmation have been confirmed, or confirmable operations have been partially confirmed.
To revert the status from CNF back to PCNF, either of the two approaches can be used:
- Cancel any of the final confirmations made to the operations.
This will at the same time leads to the change of the confirmation data, such as quantity, activity and goods movement. - Post an extra partial confirmation with zero quantity to any of the operations.
Since no actual data is posted/cancelled, this will just changed the status and will not change the confirmation data at all.
