Symptom
-
When creating a Request for Quotation (RFQ) via PASS API I_REQUESTFORQUOTATIONTP, the Purchase Requisition (PR) item text is not transferred to the RFQ.
-
Creating an RFQ from PR using the standard Fiori app “Process Purchase Requisition” correctly copies the PR item text.
-
The issue occurs only when RFQ is created programmatically via the API.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
-
Create a Purchase Requisition with item text maintained.
-
Use API I_REQUESTFORQUOTATIONTP to create an RFQ with reference to the PR.
-
Open the created RFQ and check the item notes.
-
Observe that the PR item text is missing, even though the reference to the PR exists.
Cause
Current product design limitation.
Resolution
- This functionality is not supported in the current SAP S/4HANA Cloud release.
-
Submit a feature request via the Customer Influence Program for inclusion in future releases, Homepage - Customer Influence (sap.com).
