3687148 - SAC - CSS overrules threshold style "Color Values"

Symptom

Colors set via CSS may override specific color rules, such as threshold colors in tables

Environment

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a new story (canvas)
  2. Add data (any model)
  3. Insert a table
  4. Mark cells
  5. Add Threshold
  6. Set Threshold Style to "Color Values"

Cause

The behavior is expected and by design

Resolution

The priority of styling methods from highest to lowest is: widget styling defined in the CSS editor, widget styling from theme CSS, font scaling, widget styling defined in the styling panel, and widget styling defined in the theme preferences.

The following CSS settings may affect the existing styling settings and widgets, for example:
  • Colors set via CSS may override specific color rules, such as threshold colors in charts.

  • Widgets may not be adaptive to font sizes set via CSS, which results in text truncation.
