3687554 - Error while retrieving system replication status due to missing python module 'io'

Symptom

  • An error occurs while retrieving the system replication status of the primary and HA nodes using python script `systemReplicationStatus.py`
  • The systemReplicationStatus.py script fails with error message:

    Fatal Python error: init_sys_streams: can't initialize sys standard streams
    Python runtime state: core initialized
    ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'io'

  • Duplicate library files are identified under the directory: /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/hdb.
  • The connection to database is possible using HANA studio and all the services are working and active.
  • Other Python related tasks are affected.
