Symptom

The automatically created purchase order (PO) from advanced intercompany sales (5D2) does not trigger the flexible workflow process.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a sales order in the advanced intercompany sales (5D2) process.
  2. Observe the automatic creation of the purchase order (PO).
  3. Verify that the flexible workflow for the purchase order is not triggered.

Resolution

This behavior is standard system functionality.

In the advanced intercompany sales (5D2) process, the automatically generated purchase order is part of the automated process, and its successful creation does not trigger any additional workflow.
