3687853 - Project status is still 'Partially Released' though all WBS elements are 'Released'.

Symptom

Project status is 'Partially Released' despite all the WBS elements under the project are 'Released' in the 'Project Planning' app.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the app Project Control - Enterprise Projects and open the project.
  2. Click on Related Apps - Project Planning.
  3. Select the WBS elements associated with the project and set their statuses to 'Released'.
  4. Observe that the project remains in 'Partially Released' status instead of 'Released'.

Cause

This the current system design as new WBS elements may be created for the same project resulting in the project remaining in 'Partially Released' status.

Resolution

The project status can be manually set to 'Released' using the 'Project Control - Enterprise Projects' or 'Project Planning' apps.
