3688048 - How to change layout in a Analytical Queries in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

After renaming several sub-nodes according to the business-required layout, the Reporting app (for example Cash Flow Statement – Indirect Method) continues to display the standard layout instead of the modified layout.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Rename sub-nodes in the Manage Global Hierarchies app according to the business-required layout.
  2. Execute the Cash Flow Statement – Indirect Method app.
  3. Observe that the output layout remains as the standard layout, regardless of the modifications made.

Cause

It's standard system behavior. The changes made in Sub-nodes level in a Hierarchy, not affecting the layout of an Analytic Reporting app.

Resolution

To create a new layout for a Analytical Reporting app (for example: Cash Flow Statement – Indirect Method), please create a Custom Analytical Queries via Custom Analytical Queries (F1572):

  1. In app Custom Analytical Queries (F1572):
    Search for CDS View of Analytical Reporting app. To archive this, please refer to FAQs about Apps and CDS Views in Sales Analytics question 3. For Cash Flow Statement – Indirect Method, search for C_CASHFLOWINDIRECTIFRS:

  2. After copying to a new Custom Analytical Query, in Display tab: 
    Make changes to the label of any fields: 

  3. Save Draft and Preview/Publish:
    As this step, the layout will display correctly as needed
