3688161 - Standard data cannot be edited in Product Master configuration items - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The configuration for SAP provided standard data cannot be changed for the following configuration items:

• 103539: Define Attributes of Material Types
• 102423: Define Account Category Reference/Material Type
• 102424: Define Valuation Classes
• 102425: Define Account Category Reference
• 102320: Define Output Format of Material Numbers
• 104027: Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Access any of the listed configuration items.
2. The option to edit pre-delivered content is unavailable.

As of the 2502 release of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, the existing functionality that enables changes to certain configurations has been discontinued. If demo data has been deployed on customer evaluation/starter systems, editing the SAP best practices configurations for the following configuration items is no longer possible:

• 103539: Define Attributes of Material Types
• 102423: Define Account Category Reference/Material Type
• 102424: Define Valuation Classes
• 102425: Define Account Category Reference
• 102320: Define Output Format of Material Numbers
• 104027: Maintain Field Selection for Data Screens

This includes Partner Demo systems.

Expected behavior.

• The intent behind the change is to ensure that there will always be working data available for demonstration in these types of system. 
• Where normally available, the creation of custom data and it's subsequent editing should still be possible.
