Symptom

System does not allow to proceed after error message about inactive manager when adding higher duty;

The higher duty end date if on or before the manager's inactivation;
-
Cannot proceed when the error message pops-up;
- Error message: The manager provided in the record has the status Terminated, which means they are inactive.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue

Add a Higher Duty for user with a position in which the manager in the higher-level position has a future dated termination;
-
Go to employee's profile;
-
Add Higher Duty;
-
Submit;
-
Error pops-up "the manager provided in the record has the status Terminated, which means they are inactive";
-
Click proceed;
-
No actions are saved;
Resolution
- Product Engineering team has confirmed that this is a defect from the 2H2025 release and the fix is planned to be patched on December 9th for preview and December 11th for production.
Workaround: select another manager (i.e. manager's manager).
