3688262 - It is not possible to open reports saved in workspaces using the sac excel add-in

• The SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in does not allow opening reports saved in Workspaces, limiting access to reports to "My Files" only.
• Is there any ability to use the SAP Analytics Cloud Workspace with the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in?

SAP Analytics Cloud, add-in for Microsoft Office

1. Open Microsoft Excel and ensure the SAC Add-In is installed and active.
2. Log in to the SAC Add-In using valid credentials.
3. Click on "Open" within the SAC Add-In to load an existing report.
4. Confirm that the dialog only displays reports stored under "My Files".
5. Attempt to locate and open a report that is saved in a Workspace and this is not possible.

• The current functionality for the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in is to only use either the local machine or a network share/one drive location for the SAC reports to be stored into and accessed from.
• Reference the 'Save and open workbooks' section within the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in online help.

  You can use the Microsoft Excel functionality to save a workbook locally or on a public server, for example, Microsoft OneDrive."

• The functionality for the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in to use the SAP Analytics Cloud workspace for the management of the SAC Excel Add-in reports does not exist.
• If this functionality is desired an enhancement request should be submitted to raise the visibility of this functionality to the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in Product Group so that this can be considered for a future release of the SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in.
