Symptom
In Manage Business Configuration <employmentInfo, the 'attachment-id' field is set as mandatory. However, the asterisk indicating this does not appear when HR A terminates a user, although it does appear for HR B.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
- Termination
- Job Information
Cause
In this scenario, the 'attachment-id' field is set to be not mandatory in 'Manage Business Configuration <jobInfo.'
HR B does not have permission to view the attribute settings in Job Information, while HR A does.
The 'attachment-id' field on the termination page is the same field configured in the Job Information element, which ultimately checks the attribute settings in Job Information.
As a result, HR B follows the mandatory settings in 'employmentInfo,' where the attachment field is mandatory on the termination page. Meanwhile, HR A follows the settings in 'jobInfo,' where the attachment field is not mandatory on the termination page.

Resolution
You have two options to resolve this issue:
- Set the 'attachment-id' field as mandatory in Manage Business Configuration <jobInfo.
- Create an onChange rule for the 'event-reason' field in Manage Business Configuration <jobInfo to make the 'attachment-id' field mandatory. Details can be found in the 'Resolution' section of 2576913 - How to Configure Attachment Field to be Mandatory - Employee Central - SAP for Me
