Symptom
When custom workflow email notifications are sent, the formatting renders inconsistently across Outlook clients. Recipients see significant differences in alignment and spacing:
- Outlook desktop application: the spacing before the table is missing, and the table contents are misaligned.
- Outlook web (browser): the large spacing before the table is present, and the table is correctly aligned.
- Outlook mobile app: the large spacing before the table is present, and the table is correctly aligned.

Reproducing the Issue
- Configure a custom workflow email notification.
- Update the user information to trigger the workflow.
- Verify the resulting email in Outlook desktop, Outlook web (browser), and Outlook mobile — the formatting renders inconsistently across these clients.
Resolution
Engineering team has informed that this is expected behavior of the system and It will be covered in future with Release Item ECT-266409 and PFS-31254 . Please do reach out to your CSM if you need current status of the same with above id.
