How can you control the visibility of a field based on another field in the New Candidate Experience using business rules.

Resolution

To control the visibility of a field in the new candidate experience you will have to create two business rules and associate the under Candidate Application in Manage Rules in Recruiting. 

Rule 1: Will be used to control the visibility of the field and hiding the field when the candidate applies. When creating the rule you will select the scenario: Configure View Rules on Candidate Application

Rule 2: For the second rule this will control when the field will be made visible to the candidate

Once both Rules have been configured you will need to assign the rule under Rules in Recruiting. 

Steps: 

  1. Go to Rules in Recruiting 
  2. Select Candidate Application
  3. Select the template you are going to use the rules for 
  4. Assign Rule 1 under View Rules
  5. Assign Rule 2 under Field Change Rules select the field that will be used to trigger the rule 
  6. Save
