3689387 - Error: "A dependent's personalInfo records must have the same start dates [...]" when importing Personal Info for Dependents - Employee Central

When validating/importing Personal Information for Dependents, the error message is displayed: "A dependent's personalInfo records must have the same start dates as the existing personRelationshipInfo records of this dependent. Please update the start dates and try again."

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to Import Employee Data;
2. Import Biographical Information creating Person ID External for one or more Dependents;
3. Import Person Relationship Information (Dependents data);
4. Import/Validate Personal Information for the Dependents you just created;
5. Observe the error message: "A dependent's personalInfo records must have the same start dates as the existing personRelationshipInfo records of this dependent. Please update the start dates and try again."

Issue is reproducible both via incremental load and full purge.

New validation implemented in ECT-247484 designed to prevent misaligned Dependent data.

The validation will be disabled for all environments in Dec 16th 2025 via PTCH-48780, and will be enhanced in future releases via ECT-264494.

Workaround: Add the data directly via UI.
