3689483 - Login Failure with Error "Cannot find user with propertyValue 'current'" after JDK21 Update

Symptom

When a user clicks the "Sign In / Register" link in the storefront and logs in with valid credentials on the authorizationserver login page, the store redirects back to the home page with the error message "Cannot find user with propertyValue 'current'":
