3689536 - How to renew the certificate after adding subaccount of SAP Datasphere in SAP Cloud Connector? - SAP Datasphere

Symptom

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

Certificates used by the Cloud Connector are issued with a limited validity period. To prevent a downtime while refreshing the certificate, you can renew it for your subaccount directly from the administration UI.

Environment

  • SAP Datasphere
  • SAP Cloud Connector

Resolution

  1. Click "Certificate" button to refresh subaccount certificate.
  2. Select "Enter user and password" button.
    • "Upload subaccount authentication data" option is not available for Datasphere subaccounts currently. Please select the option "Enter user and password" instead. This will allow you to manually input your user credentials and continue with the required process.
  3. Click "Next".
  4. Enter User Name and Password.
    • When the Subaccount User in Datasphere under System -> Administration -> Data Source Configuration -> SAP BTP Core Account is aligned with the corresponding user in SCC, this user will be able to renew certificate by entering their username and password.
  5. Click "Finish".
  6. After that, if the error persists, please verify your password by visiting the following link: https://accounts.sap.com
  7. Use the verified email and the password to refresh the certificate.
