3689612 - combined charts display model IDs instead of "(no value)" for blank dimension values in sap analytics cloud

*** The Updated value: ***
subject - sap analytics cloud

Symptom

 • Blended chart or table with linked models show alphanumeric characters (model IDs) instead of "(No value)" for blank values.
 • Issue occurs specifically when Link Type is set to "All data".

Environment

SAP Analytic Cloud 2025.21.6

Reproducing the Issue

 1. Log in to the tenant and open the affected story. The story have linked dimension and Link Type=All data.
 2. Check the value for the dimension which has blank values.
 3. Observe that the model ID displays instead of "(No value)" for blank dimension values.
 4. "(No value)" displays as expected if Link Type=all primary data.

Cause

The issue arises due to the "Link On" setting in the Link Dimensions being set to "Default" instead of "ID".

Resolution

 1. Change the "Link On" setting in the Link Dimensions to "ID" instead of "Default".
 2. Verify that the blank values in the combined chart/table now display as "(No value)" instead of model IDs.
