Symptom

  • SAML logins fail with a Session Expired error page (/BOE/saml/sessionexpired):
    Your session has expired

  • In the springsaml logs (2634421 - How to enable trace logging for BI SAML extension (log4j)), the following error is seen:
    org.springframework.security.saml.SAMLStatusException: Response has invalid status code urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:status:Responder, status message is Unable to verify the signature
