3689819 - Enhanced People Search is Not Available in Cloned Instances

• After cloning an instance where "Enhanced People Search" was already enabled in the source system, the feature fails to onboard  in the cloned target instance.
• "Enhanced People Search" is not available in Cloned instance

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Log in to the source instance using an administrator account with admin permissions.
2. Navigate to Company System Settings  for source instance and validate that both  switches are enabled: "Enable Company Onboarding for Enhanced People Search" and "Enable Enhanced People Search in the Global Header and the Directory Search:
3. Proceed to clone the instance into a new target environment.
4. After the clone completes, log in to the target (cloned) instance with admin permissions.
5. Verify that both  switches remain enabled in the target instance
6. Despite the switches showing as enabled, observe that the Enhanced People Search feature is not available in the target instance.

• It is caused due to onboarding sequence mismatch.

• Engineering has identified the root cause and released a corrective fix on December 18th. As part of this fix, a global background job (introduced via patch) has been deployed to automatically detect cloned instances affected by the Enhanced People Search onboarding  sequence mismatch.

• The job validates configuration states in cloned environments.

• When an affected instance is detected, the job automatically triggers the missing Enhanced People Search onboarding sequence.

• Due to the job’s scheduled frequency, the correction may take up to 8 hours to reflect in the target instance.

Once the global job completes, the Enhanced People Search feature becomes available and fully functional in the cloned instance without requiring customer action.
