3689924 - Shopping cart price not displayed after item type change

Symptom

The net value/limit column does not display the price entered when the item type is changed from "Limit" to "Material".

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Home work center.
  2. Access the Self Service Overview view.
  3. Click on "Go Shopping (Advanced)".
  4. Create a shopping cart with the item type set to "Limit" and enter the limit value.
  5. Save and finish the shopping cart, which initiates the approval process.
  6. The approver sends the shopping cart back for revision.
  7. Navigate back to the Self Service Overview view and search for the shopping cart ID under "Track my Shopping Carts".
  8. Edit the shopping cart, change the item type to "Material", select another category ID, and enter a quantity and price.
  9. Click on "Check" and observe that the net value field remains empty.
  10. Save and finish the shopping cart, which reinitiates the approval process.
  11. Navigate to the Managing My Area work center and access the Approvals view.
  12. Search for the shopping cart ID and observe that the price is displayed as "0.00".

Resolution

Use one of the following workarounds: 

  1. Delete the existing line item and add a new row with the updated item type and price details.
  2. Copy the existing line item, make the necessary changes to the copied line item, and delete the original line item.

The permanent solution of this issue is currently under investigation.
