3689982 - Error: "You cannot create a job information record without the hire record for user" when adding assignment for Contingent Worker

• An error occurs when attempting to add assignment for a contingent worker.
• The error message displayed is: "You cannot create a job information record without the hire record for user XXX. The first job information record must be the hire record."

Prerequisite:

• Enable the New Work Order Requires New Employment switch in Upgrade Center

Steps

1. Navigate to the Contingent workers profile who is currently inactive
2. Add Assignment
3. Fill in the required data.
4. Click Submit.
5. Error appears

Without an active work order, the user cannot be assigned concurrent employment

Please rehire the contingent worker on new employment by following the below steps:

1. Navigate to Admin Center and select "Add Contingent Worker".
2. Enter required details
3. Select  "Continue" to proceed to the Personal Information section. A popup dialog box will appear notifying that an employee record matching the Identity Information already exists in the system, along with an option to accept the match or ignore match.
4. Select "Accept Match" and continue.
5. Enter the new Work Order information and save the changes.
6. If successful, the contingent worker is rehired on a new Work Order.
7. Verify the new Work Order details on the contingent worker's profile.
