3690397 - OAUTH 2.0 client credentials grant type not supported for inbound communication in ABAP platform cloud

Symptom

  • The user is unable to consume the custom inbound service via Communication arrangement with OAuth 2.0 from CPI.
  • Error 401 Unauthorized occurs when attempting to use the Client Credential approach for authentication.
  • The Authorization Code Grant with PKCE is required, but CPI does not support this method.
