3690526 - Create Hour-based Payment Program using Schedule Accounts Payable Jobs app

You want to schedule a recurring payment program within app Schedule Account Payable Jobs (App ID F2257), using Automatic Scheduling of the Payment Program, with Hour-based recurring pattern.

Since the Identification field is mandatory for program creation, it cannot be dynamically populated. As a consequence, only the first run in the day can be success, the following runs within the same day will encounter error "Run identification already exists for YYYYMMDD ID".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the Schedule Accounts Payable Jobs application.
2. Attempt to schedule a recurring background job for Automatic Scheduling of the Payment Program with a frequency of every 1 hour.
3. Observe that the Identification field is mandatory and cannot be dynamically populated.
4. Execute the job and note that subsequent cycles fail due to duplicate job identification.

Hourly based function is not supported for Automatic Scheduling of the Payment Program.

Utilize the Manage Payment Plans app (App ID F4806) to create multiple daily payment templates with incremental run hour. For example:

• Payment plan 1: daily base from Monday to Friday, and executed  at 10:00 am
• Payment Plan 2: daily base from Monday to Friday, and executed  at 10:00 am +1 hour
• …
• Payment Plan N: daily base from Monday to Friday, and executed  at 10:00  + N-1 Hour

Please note that, all 5 digits of payment run IDs will be randomly-generated with alphanumeric characters when you leave the ID as empty in payment plans. Please refer to Automatic Scheduling of the Payment Program for detailed Identification generation rule.
