3690531 - Error Message: "Maintain conversions between UoMs ABC and XYZ" when deleting a Quantity Conversion on Services

The error message "Maintain conversions between UoMs ABC and XYZ" is raised while performing a deletion of a Quantity Conversion on a Service.

Note: The Quantity Conversion was used at any timepoint of the Service's lifetime.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the "Product Data" Work Center.
2. Navigate to the "Services" View.
3. Access desired Service.
4. Click on "View All" Button.
5. Under the "Quantity Conversions" section, on "General" Tab click on "Remove".
6. Save the changes.

The error message "Maintain conversions between UoMs ABC and XYZ" is raised.

Currently SAP Business ByDesign maintains a registry of every single configuration or modification performed in a Service, due to that the tenant's main objective is to maintain the Service's information consistent at all cost. 

Therefore, if a deletion of a Quantity Conversion is performed, the Service's consistancy gets broken, even though the conversion is no longer being used, making the error message "Maintain conversions between UoMs ABC and XYZ" be raised.

This scenario is considered a System Behavior.

A suggestion would be not to delete the quantity conversion, and if needed create a new Service to perform all necessary steps.
